Here is a little About Us
Rose Lodge is located at 91 Wale St. in central Cape Town. This guesthouse is small & cozy and can only accommodate maximum 6 people. It has recently been renovated and is located in the colorful Muslim “Malay Quarter” known as the Bo-Kaap, just below Signal Hill and The Noon Day Gun … an authentic canon fired every day at midday! It is one of the oldest residential areas in the city. The area has its own unique old world charm & is a World Heritage Site.
Whether on business or pleasure, it’s an ideal location from which to explore the city. The Bo-Kaap, with its cobbled streets and houses painted in a myriad of rainbow colours, is on your doorstep. We are a mere 5 minute walk to the downtown area, museums, shops and Greenmarket Square full of African artifacts and souvenirs. You don’t even need a car as most things are within walking distance, or you can take the Hop on, Hop off Bus which takes you everywhere you should go in Cape Town, even Table Mountain! Taxis or Uber are also another option for getting around and they are very reasonably priced.
The fashionable and trendy De Waterkant Village is also just around the corner with its boutiques & restaurants. And Cape Town’s International Convention Centre and world famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront are also only a short ride away.
We are fortunate in having some of Cape Town’s finest restaurants nearby at historic Heritage Square. Bouchon, Simply Asia, Bailley’s and Marco’s African restaurant to name but a few are all within walking distance of the guesthouse.
English, French & German are spoken.
Rose Lodge has been mentioned in THE LONELY PLANET, and in LE GUIDE DU ROUTARD
Inside a small house in the Bo-Kaap is this cute guesthouse. The 3 cozy rooms with private bathrooms are all decorated in a contemporary style.
THE LONELY PLANET, CAPE TOWN EDITION 2012

Testimonial
Bruce – and his canine assistants Coco and Teddy – provided a delightful spot from which to explore the city. Bruce provided excellent guidance on things to see and do and places to eat. The room was a charming spot to return to after our daily adventures. Thanks, Bruce – and Coco and Teddy
